浅谈“汉译英”技巧

　　大家好，下面给大家聊聊汉译英的技巧，句子简短当然便于读者理解，但通篇都是短句也会是读者感到单调、乏味，所以应当在简明的基础上适当追求一些句式的变化，追求一定程度的“雅”。可以尝试以下方法：

　　1.并列结构：

　　并列结构就是结构相同或相似的一组短语或句子。

　　例如：

　　如果国家通过立法规定社会保障基金的投资项目和投资比例，指导投资的方向，会促使社会保障基金向国家基础设施和重点项目投资，从而成为国家对国民经济进行宏观调控的有效手段。

　　如果译为Throughlegislation that stipulates（v.规定、讲明）the investment projects and proportion of these funds...意思不清楚，可译为：

　　Throughlegislation that stipulates where and how much of these funds are to beinvested， governments can steer investment towardinfrastructure development and other national priorities. This provides aneffective tool for implementing macroeconomic policy.

　　这里"whereand how much of these funds"清晰的解释了“投资项目和投资比例”的含义， 如果英文译文不能清晰的解释原文的意思，则这个翻译就是失败的。所以翻译是在全面的理解的基础上进行的。

　　2.从属

　　除了我们经常使用的从句外，可以学习使用以下几种表达方式。

　　（1）重复式修饰

　　例如：我们相信在一个人们能够自主选择，且对自己选择负责任和对别人尊重和同情的社会中，在一个公正的社会中，人类是能够战胜艾滋病的。

　　译为：

　　I assumedthat human beings would be able to defend AIDS in a society where individualsenjoy freedom of choices， are accountable for theirchoices and show respect and sympathy for others， asociety where fairness prevails.

　　此句中第二次出现的"asociety where" 此处是强调作用。

　　（2）总结式修饰

　　在一年多的时间内，公司推行了BEE，即于现有资源下提升表现而达致最佳水平计划，另产量由五千吨飙升至七千吨，而公司内部也产生了一连串的变化。

　　译为：Forover a year， the company has implemented BaselineEnhancement to Entitlement(BEE)， a program usingexisting resources to achieve full performance. As a result， and the output increased from 5000 tonnes to 7000 tonnes and a seriesof changes also took place within the company.

　　这里增译了"Asa result"，是根据上下文逻辑关系添加的，中文的逻辑关系可以是隐性的，但英文的逻辑关系需要是显性的。

　　（3）自由式修饰

　　自由修饰大多数以现在分词开头：

　　The ScopeMonkey trial was a watershed in American religious thinking， legitimizing the contemporary interpretation of the Bible andm*河*a*蟹*king literal fundamentalism a backwater of anti-intellectual theology.

　　"legitimizing"和"m*河*a*蟹*king"表结果的状语。
